Exactly 25 years ago Ghostface Killah catapulted into hiphop with this very first verse on the debut record of arguably the best rapgroup ever: Wu-Tang Clan from Staten Island, New York. RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface: the list of legendary names in this crew is endless. All of them have built big solo careers besides their Wu-Tang efforts. Certainly Ghostface. He released very successful albums like Ironman, Supreme Clientele and Fishscale throughout the years, or more recently Sour Soul, a collaboration with the Canadian jazzhopband BADBADNOTGOOD. His high pitched, speedy and emotional raps are instantly recognizable.
